Before starting the activity, take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with Microsoft's Copilot Use Cases. You also might want to log into the account for the first time or to see if their have been any recent updates to the user interface.

Directions:

Log into your institution's Copilot account using your email. Practice prompting by completing some combination of the activities below.

• Take an existing assignment and upload it to Copilot. Prompt the AI to help you modify the assignment based on your content expertise or task the AI to offer you feedback.

• Use Copilot’s image generator to create a series of images that you could integrate into one of your assignments.

• Begin to chat with Copilot about a particular lesson plan that you’ve taught in the past or might want to teach in the future.

• Upload an activity, assignment, or reading you’ve built in the past and ask the AI to produce a quiz, reflection, or series of discussion questions to help your students.

• Use Copilot to help polish your resume or get feedback on your teaching portfolio. You can upload a variety of media to it and prompt the AI for advice.
